Comment on AC Compressor Not Working but Fan Is Running [Solved] by Woody Jones https://airlucent.com/ac-compressor-not-working-but-fan-is-running-solved/#comment-9539 Fri, 08 Nov 2024 15:53:48 +0000 https://homeaircentral.com/?p=92580#comment-9539 Hi Tim.
Read your articles on fan versus compressor problems. Informative to “know-nothings”, me included.
But I have the opposite problem. Compressor kicks on, run great, cools great, turns off. Every time. But fan comes on, runs 10-15 seconds, then goes off. Cycles like this with compressor running. Capacitor was replaced in July for this problem. Same thing now.

Any ideas to fix this?

Comment on Can You Replace AC Capacitor With Different Ratings? by Ashok Bhola https://airlucent.com/can-you-replace-ac-capacitor-with-different-ratings/#comment-9405 Fri, 02 Aug 2024 18:43:44 +0000 https://howtoair.com/?p=2886#comment-9405 Can I replace a 440v capacitor with a 370v capacitor?
Yes, you can replace a 440v capacitor with a 370v capacitor. But it’s not possible the other way around. The voltage rating shown in a circuit is the maximum amount. Installing a lower voltage capacitor will decrease the performance. But installing a higher voltage capacitor may ruin the circuit.

???? Did you mean to say that a 370v can be replaced with a 440V but not other way around?

Comment on What Does Black Mold Look Like? (Harmless & Toxic Black Mold Pictures) by Louise Horesovsky https://airlucent.com/what-does-black-mold-look-like/#comment-9395 Thu, 25 Jul 2024 01:35:25 +0000 https://airlucent.com/?p=95746#comment-9395 We have a leak in ceiling of sceened porch on west side of house. We were out of town for few weeks. There is black mold on the concrete floor that looks like fuzz. My husband died in June, I am 82 and am completely dismayed by how to deal with this without getting sick.
I have masks left from the pandemic but I have to use a walker to get around. The area is about 8×10. The builder put small indentations in the concrete to make it safer to walk on. I don’t want it to get in the house on my shoes either. Any advice will be so welcome. I hope I dont get ads from filling this out.

Comment on Ul 723 vs Ul 181- Duct Tape Comparison by Jet Jia https://airlucent.com/ul-723-vs-ul-181/#comment-9226 Mon, 13 May 2024 01:45:17 +0000 https://howtoair.com/?p=2388#comment-9226 Hi, as you pointed out, the UL181 did a relatively simple test. So, what kind of tests have been done, and can you list the test items? In addition, I saw the UL181 certification of some products, which only listed the product width and material without other test items. I wonder why?

It is the same every time. Do I need a thermostat for inside of it or is it some other problem? Thank you, appreciate any help.
